Hello, I'm Avery
Project manager. Parent. Expat currently living in Palo Alto, United States.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
What Kickstarted It
Moving to United States wasn't part of the long-term plan. Like many international relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The early months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, higher expectations. Daily tasks felt more tangled than they should.
The Transition Phase
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning. Over time, routines settled in. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began shaping something that felt secure.
Why I Created MovaNordRilo
Much online guidance is either corporate relocation advice or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance grounded in real life in United States.

This site is:
